Introduction
Toothbrush had become very noisy (my daughter refused to use it saying it made her head hurt). Repair was easy - just tighten a loose screw inside.

As other sonicare repair guides show, the base plug is only held in by friction. If you squeeze the sides it will open a gap you can slip a screwdriver in and lever out the base. A bit of cardboard protects the sides from cosmetic damage.

There are 2 tabs that prevent the insides sliding out. Release these with a small screwdriver while pushing the metal shaft at the other end, and when both tabs are free the innards will slide out.

The screw circled was loose. Tightening this fixed the unpleasant noise. I had to use threadlocker to stop it coming loose again.

What is the size of that screw? Totally stripped mine
I believe I used a Phillips #1 on that screw. #0 seemed too small to me.
BTW, that Phillips #1 was on my HX686P (purchased as one of a pair at Costco in the US, which seems to be the same as an HX6829 when I try to look it up on Philips' website in their troubleshooter).
