Introduction
After a while it can be that your fan begins to squeak, squeel or make some other high pitch metal sound..
First, make sure it's the fan and not the rotating platform.
Obviously if you use the microwave you shouldn't have that sound.
If you use the oven and open the door the squeaking should continue for a moment since the fan spins freely for a while.
You can either order a new motor or grease the one you have, it's up to you

Turn the microwave, so you can access the rear panel This is connected with 2 piece of Torx20 screws without center on the bottom left and right. If you do not have one, and you are carefull you can loosen them with 3mm allen key without center. Tilt the back panel upwards and pull it away as it is hinged at the top side with some metal tabs.

-
Loosen the electrical connectors from the motor, these have blocking tabs. So push with your finger against the tabs before pulling them loose. If you want more working space, remove the other wires as well, so the whole heating plate is separate from the machine. Remove 8 nuts with a 7mm wrench.
-
Notice that the electrical tabs on the engine are close to the heatshield, make sure you assemble it similar or the contacts will touch the backplate on assembly and blow a fuse (or 2, if you do too) when turning the machine on.

Carefully pull the heatshield with elements and motor from the machine. Turn it over, so you see the heating elements and the fan. To remove the fan you need to loosen another 7mm nut. It is prudent to first use one of the other nut to clean the thread. Make sure you block the fan from spinning before you try to loosen it.
-
Be carefull not to damage the glass and aluminium heating elements. Hang the heatshield back on the machine and use 1 7mm nut to make sure it doesn't accidentely fall off.

After the bolt, washers and fan has been taken off, place the panel back on the machine to easely remove the 3 pc PH2 screws that hold the motor mounted to the back plate. now you can access 2 other 7mm nuts that hold the fan engine in place. Remove the 2 nuts and you can pull the motor from the frame.

For this you need a PH2 screwdriver to loosen the 2 screws holding the bearing blocks together. after removing the screws, you can spot the grease that has run out of the bearing and a grease filling hole. The hole should be facing up when mounting the bearings back. You will need some high temp low friction grease.
-
If you do not have that by hand, you can use WD40 or regular engine oil. Before declaring victory: When assembling the machine back, test the oven before you replace the backplate, so you can check if the fan spins a while freely and silently after shutting the oven off again. if not, you're not done yet with making it well greased again.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
