Introduction
The Dell Latitude E6430 is a weighty business notebook. As with most business notebooks by Dell repairs are quity easy and straightforward.

            As always before laying hand on any electronic device we have to remove the battery. Also make sure you haven't connected the power supply. 
- 
            To remove the battery turn the device around and look for the two latches on the left and right side (red rectangles). 
- 
            With the battery removed you may now remove the two screws next to the docking station connector (green circles)

            Turn around the device and open the screen. Before the keyboard may be removed you have to remove the frame around it. 
- 
            Use a spudger between the c-cover and the frame. Begin at the top and don't be shy as the frame is quite sturdy and flexible. 
- 
            With the frame removed it should look like in the last photo.

            There are four screws which have to be unscrewed to proceed. 
- 
            Lift up the keyboard carefully as it is still connected by a ribbon cable. (green rectangle) 
- 
            To be able to pull out the ribbon cable you have to lift the plastic lever on top in the direction of the orange arrow.

            Congratulations. You have successfully removed the keyboard. 
- 
            You may now replace it with a spare.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
