Introduction

In this guide, we will be going over the process of replacing the speakers on the Dell Latitude 3380. It is a simple process that only requires a few steps.

The speakers function as a way for audio to be played while using the laptop. They are used for anything from music to watching videos online.

Tools

Step 1

Turn the laptop over so that the back is facing up.
Remove the nine 3 mm screws with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Step 2

Use an opening tool to pry the back cover away from the laptop.

Step 3

Using tweezers, disconnect the power cable connecting the speakers to the motherboard.

Step 4

Using the nylon spudger, pry off the velcro straps attaching the cable to the chassis.
The metal spudger is used in the photo, but please use the nylon one as it is ESD safe.

Step 5

Using the spudger, pry off the other velcro strap attaching the power cable to the chassis.
