In this guide, we will be showing you how to remove and replace the Battery.

Phillips #0 Screwdriver

Step 1

WARNING: Before working inside your computer, read the safety information that shipped with your computer and follow the steps in Before Working Inside Your Computer. After working inside your computer, follow the instructions in After Working Inside Your Computer.
Remove the three screws (M2.5x6) that secure the battery to the computer base.

Step 2

Lift the battery at an angle off the computer base.

Step 3

Turn the computer over, open the display, and press and hold the power button for five seconds to ground the system board.

Step 4

Slide the NEW battery in the slot on the computer base and align the screw holes on the battery with the screw holes on the computer base.

Step 5

Replace the three screws (M2.5x6) that secure the battery to the computer base.
