Introduction

Step 1

Turn the device upside down.
Using your finger, slide the silver cover release button towards the top of the device.
Lift and remove the back cover.

Step 2

Using your fingernails, lift the sides of the battery.
Remove the battery.

Step 3

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. Then press the power button to turn your Blackberry back on.

I've done that a few times. I even bought a new battery for it and left it plugged in all night and then took the battery out all over again. Still nothing but the red light when I first plug it in.
