Introduction
This guide is for replacing the back case of the ASUS TUF Gaming FX505DY.
This is a prerequisite for any guide requiring removal of internal parts, as the back case prevents access to internal components. Any problem found on the troubleshooting page with internal part replacement as a solution will use this guide. Be sure to check the troubleshooting page before beginning in case the issue is only software-related.
The back case is hardened plastic and inflexible. While it is difficult to bend, bending the back case only a little further than what is "safe" will cause it to snap.
Make sure to fully shut down the device and unplug any chargers and peripherals before beginning.
