After installing updates Ubuntu 24.04 boots to black screen. I tried a fresh install got same thing. Did install again with safe graphics and desktop showed fine during testing but boots to black screen on restart. Hardware is a 2009 Macbook. Doing install from usb. I should add that neither Shift nor Esc keys work to manifest the GNU GRUB menu. I can access command line from the install usb but I'm not sure if that will be sufficient.
